Heute, am 4. Mai, ist der Gedenktag des heiligen Florian, der sogenannte Florianitag. Florian gilt seit rund dem 16. Jahrhundert als Schutzpatron der Feuerwehren. Doch er ist auch der Schutzpatron der Kaminkehrer, Schmiede, Bierbrauer und Hafner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seit Juni 1975 ist \u201eFlorian\u201c zudem der einheitliche Funkrufname der Feuerwehren in Deutschland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
